I found myself in a place I had not heard of before, It is connected to East India via a narrow corridor squeezed between independent nations of Bhutan and Bangladesh I’d been to India several times, but not to the North East. State and ethnic conflict in the country means travel is restricted without a special permit. One cheeky love story to the Indian High Commission later, and I was packed on a plane to Guwahati, armed with my Indian visa and my camera. The result, a feature length film, comprises of video and photography. The work represents the unheard voices of the people we met while undercover filming a first time international music tour in the region.
